Today’s Comeback story is from Zark - @zarakfatah, Toronto-based entrepreneur & experience creator. Zark is no stranger to success. He's owned his own businesses, drove the best cars, wore expensive clothes, lived the high life - but it was not before he realized that he was worthy of love and accepting himself that he found true success. Follow Zark’s journey to finding love and success by first finding acceptance and love within.

Zark’s life was not always “successful”. He grew up in a household & culture where it wasn’t common to say “I love you”, even if you did. He was bullied & dealt with racism & he felt like he wasn’t good enough. In his relationships, Zark couldn’t fully give himself to the other person in fear of rejection or not being good enough.

Success became a way of feeling worthy, until Zark woke at 40 and realized that everything he had, from the businesses and brands to the cars and clothes – displayed success on the surface but lacked substance underneath. He craved depth, in all areas of his life, but none more so than in love. Zark remembers himself saying, “I’m not gonna put my heart out there or risk telling someone I care about them.”

It really hit home when Zark's beloved dog went missing. A catalyst for change, he explored his past experiences and decided that he was not going to limit his love anymore. Zark realized how much love he had to give when he accepted that he was a good person and worthy of love.

Today, Zark lives his life with an open heart, trusts people and feels that he can learn something from everybody. He now has an amazing relationship and business that he wouldn’t have had if he hadn’t learnt to love & accept himself first. Zark’s big realization was “if you look for love, look for love within”.
